IP spoofing is a technique used to gain unauthorized access to a computer where an attacker pretends to be another computer by manipulating IP packets. With IP spoofing, the packet header is changed by the source of a fake (fake) IP address, a checksum and order value. The internet is a packet-switched network that causes packets that leave the computer to arrive at its destination in a different order. The recipient's computer resembles a message based on the order value embedded in the IP header. With IP binding, the algorithm is completed with the value of the order sent correctly selected and modified.
